Privacy policy

The short version

Fletch is a puzzle game that is fully playable without an account. By default everything stays on your device. If you choose to sign in, the game backs up your progress to a cloud save that only you can access. There are no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and your data is never sold or shared for advertising.

What stays on your device

Fletch stores your game data locally: a randomly generated player name and avatar, the boards you have played, your scores, campaign progress, and your settings. None of this leaves the device unless you sign in.

Optional account and cloud save

You can sign in with Apple or Google to back up your progress. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a service operated by Google. When you sign in, Fletch stores:

• Your email address, as shared by Apple or Google. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real address and share a relay address instead.
• An account identifier created by Firebase for your account.
• One save document: your chosen display name, avatar choice, campaign progress, settings, and match history.

This data is used only to restore your progress and for nothing else. It is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), protected by access rules so that only your signed-in account can read or write your save, and encrypted in transit with TLS.

Online racing

Racing another player online relays moves through our server at fletch-relay.algofunds.in. During a race the relay processes your chosen display name, avatar, score, and a random install identifier so the other player can see who they are racing. The relay keeps no database and stores none of this; it forwards messages between the two players and forgets them.

What Fletch does not do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.

Deleting your data

You can delete your cloud data and account at any time inside the app: open Profile, scroll to Account, and choose Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your cloud save and the account itself. Local data on your device stays until you clear it in the app or uninstall. You can also email nikkyamresh8@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and we will delete the account for you. See the deletion page for details.

Children

Fletch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The game is fully playable without providing any personal data at all.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
